BIM Conference and Workshop

Date: 8 - 9 November 2016
Venue: Grand Connaught Rooms, 61-65 Great Queen St, London, WC2B 5DA

BIM Conference and Executing BIM Workshop

Since 4 April 2016, all HM Government construction tenders need to be demonstrating BIM Level 2. In addition, by 3 October 2016, the Government expects industry to improve the quality of data gathered and shared in digital models.

However, as David Philp, Director of BIM at AECOM, points out “BIM - the journey is the destination.  It is not all about key dates; they are only staging points on our digital voyage.”

Still, the requirement for companies to deliver BIM Level 2 can be overwhelming. There are many standards and associated documents to adhere to and it’s often difficult to know what the actual requirements are.

This engaging and industry focused event will provide you with an unique opportunity to hear from leading industry experts and standards makers about the adoption of BIM Level 2 and how this is evolving to support collaborative working and sharing structured data within contractual relationships and in the open market.

In addition, the conference will give you the chance to hear other industry experts share their experiences, including:

  • Case studies about implementing BIM Level 2
  • Standards update
  • Innovative initiatives
  • Digital challenges that BIM Level 2 adopters have had to overcome

By attending the BIM conference on 8 November 2016 you will:

  • Find out how standards and guidance notes could help you reduce cost by applying BIM in your organization
  • Hear in  more detail about PAS 1192-2, PAS 1192-3, COBie, and BS 8536-1
  • Gather information about challenges that companies face while moving towards BIM implementation and to overcome them
  • Learn about innovative BIM initiatives and how technology has been enhanced to meet BIM Level 2 requirements
  • Collaborate with your peers in finding solutions to some of the hottest BIM issues
  • Have your questions answered by leading industry experts
