Aviation, Space & Defence seminars

Aviation Space Defence Seminars

2 November 2012, RAF Museum, Cosford
16 November 2012, Imperial War Museum, Duxford

In the aviation, space and defence sector conformance, accuracy and safety are a given. What about effectiveness? An organisation can deliver products and services that conform to a customer or regulatory requirement but do they deliver this effectively in areas such as on-time delivery and product quality?

Products or services that are late or defective in some way can seriously disrupt the aviation, space and defence supply-chain leading to extra cost and lack of profitability. That’s why the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) developed the aerospace standards AS/EN9100, 9110 & 9120, in order to achieve significant performance improvements in Quality, Delivery & Cost, on all products and services throughout the value stream.

The recent 9100/9110/9120 transition has focused upon conformity and effectiveness with organisations now scored and reported on process effectiveness.

BSI is hosting two complimentary Aviation, Space & Defence seminars to help you find out forthcoming changes to standards and audit approach, aimed at demonstrating the benefits of monitoring conformance and effective, helping to meet the IAQG 5-year vision that includes the following:

  • Product/Services Quality and Delivery will have improved 20% per year throughout the product lifecycle
  • Robust processes achieved throughout the supply chain
  • 90% of the supply chain certified to IAQG Quality Management System Standards
