Energy Efficiency Retrofit

Energy Efficiency Retrofit

Last June the UK government committed a new plan for the environment; net zero carbon emission by 2050. The EU objective is to achieve Near Zero Energy Buildings throughout the EU.

The standard supports those objectives by promoting and defining technically robust and responsible whole-building domestic retrofit work. PAS 2030:2017 on requirements for the installation of energy efficiency measures (EEM) in existing buildings has been revised and is being split into 2 standards.

PAS 2035 is a new framework Standard and PAS 2030 is substantially revised. The documents are “linked”: designs in accordance with PAS 2035 are required to be installed, commissioned and handed over in accordance with PAS 2030:2019 and any PAS 2030 installations are required to be designed to PAS 2035

This framework establishes a three path risk assessment approach to energy efficiency retrofit and each path specifies requirements for assessment, identification and evaluation of improvement options, design and specification, monitoring and evaluation.

PAS 2035 online service allows you to highlight and extract sections for quick access and jump easily to cross-referenced clauses. Expert commentary will be embedded within the content and news updates on related industry activity will be included.
