Physical, chemical and biochemical properties

BSI standards on the physical, chemical and biochemical aspects of water quality are regarded as best practice for environmental matrices and are often referred to or relied on in court to establish whether analytical results are valid and fit for purpose. These standards are used by environmental laboratories and consultants often involved in regulatory analysis that meet the Water Framework Directive or for regulatory compliance monitoring (for agencies such as Environment Agency or Drinking Water Inspectorate requirements). 

These standards also provide comparable results whichever laboratory uses them making them essential for comparing historical data and trends.
