1.1 This test method establishes the requirements for the flattening test for copper and copper alloy pipe and tube of all sizes. The method addresses both inch-pound and metric considerations, and both seamless and welded product.

1.2  Units—The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units are to be regarded as standard. Within the text, SI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.
