BS EN 61300-3-34:2009 Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components. Basic test and measurement procedures. Examinations and measurements. Attenuation of random mated connectors
BS EN 61300-3-34 describes the procedure required to measure the statistical distribution and mean attenuation for random mated optical connectors.
BS EN 61300-3-34 describes two test methods for measuring the attenuation of random mated optical connectors. Both provide an estimate of the expected average performance that a group of patchcords (including adaptors, if applicable) selected from a batch will exhibit when utilised in an optical system.
