What is BS 25777:2008?

Many organizations today depend on their information and communications technology (ICT) to deliver their products and services. Any disruptions are a huge risk and could affect a company’s performance and reputation. BS 25777 helps organizations with the planning and implementation of a successful business continuity strategy to protect their processes from disruptions. It also helps management to respond positively and efficiently if a disruption does occur. To ensure a successful operation, organizations and enterprises should include both their business and ICT continuity plans in their culture.

How does it work?

BS 25777 starts by explaining ICT continuity programme management and helps the user to form a deep understanding of the ICT requirements for business continuity. The standard demonstrates how to determine, develop and implement ICT strategies. It also looks at exercises and testing, maintenance, review and improvement, and concludes with ICT continuity management milestones.

Who should buy it?

  • Risk assessors
  • Quality assessors
  • Anyone responsible for the implementation of ICT continuity programmes
  • ICT continuity consultants
  • ICT managers and directors
