BS EN 15269-1:2010 Extended application of test results for fire resistance and/or smoke control for door, shutter and openable window assemblies, including their elements of building hardware. General requirements
BS EN 15269-1 gives general guidelines on producing an extended application report based on the evaluation of one or more fire resistance and/or smoke control tests. It also helps to identify the best selection of test specimens required to cover a wide range of product variations.
This standard is for use with other relevant parts of BS EN 15269 depending on the specific product type to be evaluated. It identifies the principles to be followed during the preparation of the subsequent product related standards of the BS EN 15269 series.
These standards define the rules for the permitted variations of products from the tested specimen. They are created in a committee by agreed expert opinion with experience of fire resistance testing and interpolation of test results. They will form the basis of the field of extended application of test methods.
When these rules are applied by someone appropriate to do so, they will lead to a classification suitable for the application of a CE marking to the modified product.
