Classifies types of protection, specifies winding temperatures for steady overload and stalled conditions. Recommends thermistor reference temperatures. Characteristics for thermostats, thermistors and thermistor control units with appropriate tests. Thermistors are of positive temperature coefficient. An appendix gives typical characteristic curve.
