Abstract
This British Standard, a part of the BS 4737 series, provides recommendations for the planning, equipment and installation of intruder alarm systems in situations in which the balance of the system is located exterior to any premises.
The recommendations given in this British Standard cover systems from the basic to the most complex and recommendations appropriate to a particular installation are applicable.
This standard does not give any requirements for the degree of protection and a prospective customer should give careful consideration to the extent and degree of protection required, having regard to the nature of the site to be protected, the value of its contents and the prevailing circumstances.
