What’s changed since the last update?

This is a full revision of the 1986 edition, and introduces the following principal changes:

  • The scope has shifted from largely operational matters to those of a more strategic and tactical nature, while retaining a focus on matters of practical importance
  • A broader range of facility assets has been taken into account
  • Developments in technology affecting the nature of facility assets and the maintenance management process, in particular the use of information and communications technology (ICT), have been taken into account
