Status : Superseded, Withdrawn Published : March 1999 Replaced By : BS EN ISO 13855:2010
BS EN 999 has been amended to replace the existing version of the standard.
The protective equipment described in this standard to minimise risk relies on the relevant parts of that equipment being correctly positioned in relation to the danger zone. In deciding on these positions, the following need to be considered:
BS EN 999 provides parameters based on values for hand/arm and approach speeds. It also provides a methodology to determine the minimum distances from specific sensing or actuating devices of protective equipment to a danger zone.
BS EN 999 has been revised and now reflects all relevant CEN amendments.
