This European Standard specifies the requirements for plywood for general purposes or structural application in dry, humid or exterior conditions. It also gives a classification system based on bending properties.

The values listed in this standard relate to product properties but they are not characteristic values to be used in design calculations.

Requirements are given for tolerances on dimensions, mechanical characteristics, structural application, formaldehyde release, classification, conditioning of test pieces, use in dry conditions, humid conditions and exterior conditions with the relevant bonding quality and biological durability requirements, supplementary properties, verification of compliance, and external and factory production control.
