Working at height remains a common cause of workplace fatalities, making it critical that current best practice is followed.

BS 5974:2017 Planning, design, setting up and use of temporary suspended access equipment - Code of practice gives recommendations and guidance on how TSAE temporary suspended access equipment should be safely installed, maintained, examined and used.

BS 6037-1:2017 Planning, design, installation and use of permanently installed access equipment – Code of practice Part 1: Suspended access equipment gives recommendations for the planning, design, installation, use, examination, maintenance and testing of permanently installed SAE suspended access equipment. This includes equipment installed on a building to assist continuing routine maintenance.                                   

BS 7981:2017 Code of practice for the installation, maintenance, thorough examination and safe use of mast climbing work platforms (MCWPs) gives guidance and recommendations to help ensure appropriate MCWPs mast climbing work platforms are selected for use and safely positioned, used, maintained and examined.

BS 8460:2017 Code of practice for the safe use of MEWPs offers guidance and recommendations on selection, hiring, positioning, maintenance and thorough examination of MEWPs Mobile elevating work platforms, as well as their safe use, including guidance on selecting competent personnel.
