BS EN 1559-1:2011
Founding. Technical conditions of delivery. General
What is it?
BS EN 1559-1:2011 is the latest standard to recommend the correct technical conditions for casting all metallic materials, except copper alloy. The European guidelines outline how to achieve best practice during the casting process, with specifications on the correct composition of cast metallic materials. BS EN 1559-1:2011 helps manufacturers achieve best practice through consistent quality of output and time and cost savings. Additional requirements for specific materials are available as follows: BS EN 1559-2 for cast steel; BS EN 1559-3 for cast iron; BS EN 1559-4 for cast aluminium; BS EN 1559-5 for cast magnesium; and BS EN 1559-6 for cast zinc. Guidance for copper alloy castings is given in BS EN 1982.
How does it work?
BS EN 1559-1:2011 helps you to define and meet the correct technical requirements when producing metallic casts. The guidelines provide technical specifications to help you achieve the required European standard of manufacturing and casting from production to packaging. With BS EN 1559-1:2011 you can effectively monitor product output effectively, meet quality assurance targets, streamline processes, and deliver to customer expectations. The standard also outlines best practice consultation between the manufacturer and customer.
Who should buy it?
