We need to use and stay up to date with a range of standards within our organization, often across multiple stakeholders, departments, sites, divisions or global locations.

We need to refer to withdrawn standards regularly
- British Standards Online (BSOL) contains withdrawn and historical versions of British Standards and adopted EN, ISO and IEC standards.
If you need to refer to the same document then withdrawn standards can also be purchased through the Knowledge Centre. Should you need to refer to a document on a one-off basis, members can view them at our head office in Chiswick.

I’m a student and need to refer to standards for a project I’m working on
- The majority of UK universities and public libraries as well as many other institutions worldwide subscribe to British Standards Online (BSOL) so you should be able to view the required document through their subscription.
I’m looking to export overseas and need to access foreign standards
- BSI are authorized distributors for most Standards Bodies. In addition ASTM standards can be purchased in PDF format via the shop
