Subject searching for BRE Global
BRE Global needed to know about any British Standards on floating houses, dwellings, homes, marinas or moorings, but not boats. The knowledge centre performed a subject search and provided a list of relevent standards. As a result BRE Global found the information they needed quickly and without costly research.
The Enquiry
BRE was trying to track down any British Standards on floating houses, dwellings, homes, marinas or moorings, but not boats.
Our Information Specialists used a range of different databases to give the most comprehensive results. They then sent a spreadsheet containing a list of the relevent standards.
Although no results came up by searching for “(Hous* OR Home*) AND (River OR float*)”, several results came up as result of the search for “(float* OR river*) AND (hous* OR dwelling* OR home* OR marin* OR mooring*).
BRE Global was satisfied with the list of the results and went on to request scope and contents pages for one of the British Standards. This helped them to make the right choice in purchasing.
