Web design, accessibility & management
With the internet changing the way we now share information and do business, organizations are coming under increasing pressure to ensure their websites can boast optimal ‘user experience’. This typically means generating content that is dynamic, engaging, easily navigable and enhanced by robust functionality. At the same time, there is also a corporate need to track return-on-investment in online services.
BSI has published best practice guidance on commissioning websites that deliver digital inclusion. This means that they can be used and accessed by anyone, including disabled people. PAS 78 Guide to good practice in commissioning accessible websites, the accompanying book Web accessibility. Making PAS 78 work, and a specification (PAS 124) can help organisations manage website standards efficiently, exploit their potential and help deliver measurable performance.
