About the author
Chris Watts has chaired many of the BSI and International committees which forged the new emergency lighting standards that form an essential support to engineers developing appropriate systems to meet customers’ safety applications. He chairs the committees responsible for the 2011 revision of BS 5266-1 and the current re-draft of BS EN 1838.
He has worked as an advisor to consulting engineers and as a product manager for a number of the largest manufacturers in the UK. He now specializes in standards support and fire safety consultancy providing training courses in fire alarms and emergency lighting.
