BSI Quality Management Self-assessment is intended to help organizations with first party auditing, i.e. checking that their own systems are compliant. Self-assessment may also be a helpful step in preparing for third party certification but it should never be confused with it. Should your organisation wish to proceed to third party certification to the standard, there are many accredited certification bodies that can help, including BSI itself.
