Construction project management
Ensuring building projects are properly managed is of vital concern to a wide range of people from the architects, contractors and commissioners to the government and public at large. BSI has published PD 6079-4 to help.
PD 6079-4 deals with the construction process from inception to handover of the completed facility to the owner, occupier or operator, bringing together all guidance related to construction project management in one document. It also applies to projects that involve maintenance, repair, refurbishment, decommissioning or demolition.
It encourages and improves the use of project management in the construction industry. The guide can be used for projects of any size; it gives sound principles as a basis together with more specific recommendations that can be tailored to specific projects.
