Sampling

Acceptance sampling is used to determine whether the quality of product is of an acceptable level to the consumer. The following standards cover both sampling procedures for inspection by attributes and for inspection by variables.

BS ISO 21747:2006
Statistical methods. Process performance and capability statistics for measured quality characteristics

BS 6002-1:2007
Sampling procedures for inspection by variables Guide to single sampling plans indexed by acceptance quality limit (AQL) for lot-by-lot inspection for a single quality characteristic and a single AQL

BS 6002-2:2007
Sampling procedures for inspection by variables General guide to single sampling plans indexed by acceptance quality limit (AQL) for lot-by-lot inspection of independent quality characteristics

BS 8496:2007
Water quality. Enumeration of micro-organisms in water samples. Guidance on the estimation of variation of results with particular reference to the contribution of uncertainty of measurement

BS ISO 8422:2006
